Responsibilities Behavioral Support and Instruction • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of the supervising teacher, BCBA, BCaBA, or other appropriately qualified District professional, consistent with the employee's assigned duties and certification requirements. • Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support to students • Utilize evidence-based practices grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) • Reinforce appropriate behaviors and implement proactive behavior strategies • Support students in developing communication, social, and adaptive skills Data Collection and Documentation • Accurately collect and record behavioral data as required by student plans • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of student progress • Assist in monitoring effectiveness of interventions and report data to supervising staff • Ensure compliance with District, state, and federal documentation requirements Collaboration and Communication • Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and administrators • Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings when appropriate • Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress as directed • Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA and District policy Classroom and Environment Support • Assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and positive learning environment • Support transitions, routines, and classroom management systems • Adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs across settings (classroom, playground, community-based instruction) Compliance and Professional Practice • Follow all ethical guidelines established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) • Maintain RBT certification by satisfying applicable BACB requirements, including ongoing supervision, professional development, recertification, and ethical requirements. • Adhere to District policies, procedures, and safety protocols • Participate in required trainings and professional development QualificationsEducation • High school diploma, adult high school diploma, or G.E.D. • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or willingness and ability to complete the required training, competency assessment, examination, and other certification requirements within a District-approved timeframe. • Must meet all BACB eligibility requirements applicable at the time of certification. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with behavioral or special needs Minimum Qualifications • Must also meet one of the following: • Completion of at least 48 semester hours of qualifying post-secondary study • Associate’s degree or higher • Passing score on the Master Teacher Assessment demonstrating ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics Preferred Qualifications • Current, active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder or other behavioral needs • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and strategies • Experience in school or clinical settings providing behavioral support Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Understanding of behavior management strategies and positive behavior supports • Strong data collection and organizational skills • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in challenging situations • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to follow detailed plans and work under supervision Work Environment • Work is performed in school settings, which may include classrooms, resource rooms, and community-based environments • Physical demands may include lifting, positioning, and assisting students, consistent with training and student needs • May require implementation of physical intervention strategies consistent with training and District guidelines |

Job Description Millard School District is accepting applications for a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Fillmore Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This classified, Lane 2 position is assigned 28.75 hours per week. The successful applicant must hold Registered Behavior Technician certification or be willing to complete the requirements necessary to obtain certification. Because the position serves students in a Title I school, applicants must also satisfy the applicable Title I paraprofessional education standard. |

Benefits Compensation & Salary Placement • Compensation is determined according to the Millard School District Classified Salary Schedule or approved hourly rate for the position. • Scheduled hours and work calendar are assigned according to the position and District need.
