Responsibilities • Assist teachers with classroom instruction, student supervision, and preparation of instructional materials. • Provide individual or small-group support to students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other academic areas as directed by the teacher. • Reinforce classroom routines, assignments, behavior expectations, and instructional activities. • Monitor and assist students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, lunchrooms, buses, or other assigned areas. • Support students with diverse learning, behavioral, or physical needs, consistent with training and assignment. • Assist with student data, records, assignments, communication materials, and other classroom or school documentation as directed. • Maintain confidentiality of student, family, and staff information. • Communicate and work cooperatively with students, teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, and other staff members. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma, adult high school diploma, or G.E.D. • Must also meet one of the following: • Completion of two years of post-secondary study (48+ semester hours) • Associate’s degree or higher • Passing score on the Master Teacher Assessment demonstrating ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics |

Job Description Millard School District is accepting applications for an Instructional Assistant / Para-professional. The instructional assistant works under the direction of licensed teachers and school administrators to support student learning, reinforce classroom instruction, assist with student supervision, and help maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. |

Benefits Compensation & Salary Placement • Compensation is determined according to the Millard School District Classified Salary Schedule or approved hourly rate for the position. • Scheduled hours and work calendar are assigned according to the position and District need. Benefits Eligibility • Part-time benefits eligibility is determined by scheduled hours, average weekly hours, employment classification, District policy, and applicable law. • Health insurance eligibility is determined by applicable eligibility thresholds. • Employees may qualify for Utah Retirement Systems (URS) participation under applicable state eligibility requirements.
