Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum • Provide instruction in assigned secondary subject areas (may include mathematics, science, history/social studies, or other core courses as assigned). • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Utah Core Standards. • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a small, multi-grade student population. • Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative measures. • Assist individual students or small groups with assignments and skill development in areas such as reading, math, writing, vocabulary, comprehension, decoding, penmanship, and spelling. • Maintain accurate gradebooks, student records, and required documentation. Multi-Subject Rural Assignment • Teach multiple subject areas as assigned based on student enrollment and staffing needs. • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and course preparation. • Integrate cross-curricular and project-based learning when appropriate. • Collaborate closely with Eskdale faculty to coordinate instruction and student support. Student Support & School Engagement • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. • Build strong relationships with students and families in a rural community setting. • Participate in IEP, 504, and student intervention meetings as required. • Supervise students during assigned duties and school activities. • Support school improvement initiatives and community engagement efforts. Professional Responsibilities • Maintain compliance with District policies and Utah State Board of Education requirements. • Participate in professional development and required staff meetings. • Demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and ethical conduct. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university • Current Utah Professional Educator License (Secondary), or eligibility for licensure. • Ability to meet Highly Qualified Teacher requirements under applicable state and federal guidelines • Strong collaboration and communication skills appropriate for a small, team-based rural school environment. Preferred Qualifications • Multiple secondary endorsements (e.g., Mathematics, Science, History/Social Studies). • Experience teaching more than one core content area. • Experience teaching in a small school or rural setting. • Demonstrated flexibility in scheduling and instructional delivery. • Ability to support cross-curricular instruction. |

Millard School District is seeking a highly qualified and adaptable educator to serve as a Part-Time Secondary Teacher at Eskdale High School. Eskdale is a small rural high school serving approximately 19 students with a collaborative faculty of three teachers. Due to the size and structure of the school, teachers may be assigned to teach multiple core content areas. This position is created due to a current full-time teacher transitioning to part-time status. The District seeks an educator who is flexible, student-centered, and willing to contribute to a multi-subject instructional model. |
