Paraprofessional Requirements This position requires that you must complete the following before you begin employment: Background check, a photocopy of your posted Associate's Degree from an accredited university or, a photocopy of your transcript from an accredited university documenting that you have at least 48 hours of credit or, pass the ParaPro Praxis Test with a passing score of 460. Test is administered at the district office. The cost is $55 per test.

Kanab Elementary School - ParaProfessional position available. Part time, up to 29.5 hours per week. KES is currently looking for a new PE teacher/paraprofessional. Duties include planning for and teaching weekly PE classes for all 1st-6th grades using the Utah core and other resources provided. Have excellent classroom management skills to provide a safe and engaging PE experience. All activities must be planned to meet the needs of all KES students and be age appropriate. Work with KES teachers to collaborate and solve problems when needed. Other duties may be assigned by the KES principal. Be responsible to maintain working hours based on assignments by the KES principal. Classroom or Grade Level Paraprofessional Duties include working with students, classroom management, assisting classroom teachers. No benefits. This position will provide mini-lessons to individual classes, and support/tutor students under teacher direction. May have lunch and recess supervision duties. Must possess excellent communication skills, classroom management, the ability to work closely with teachers and students, basic technology skills needed to run programs and media software programs, and manage/order inventory. Reading Lab addition Duties include: -Creating lessons for small group reading intervention with grades K-6. -Testing and monitoring reading skills along with interpreting that data to use in small group instruction. -Additional reading training will be required and provided. -Be a self-starter and be able to create and monitor a daily schedule. Special Education Paraprofessional This position is responsible for the direct implementation of behavioral and instructional needs for students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
