This position requires that you must complete the following before you begin employment:

Background check (no charge), a photocopy of your posted Associate's Degree from an accredited university or, a photocopy of your transcript from an accredited university documenting that you have at least 48 hours of credit or, pass the ParaPro Praxis Test with a passing score of 460. Test is administered at the district office. The cost is $55 per test. 

Basic technology skills needed to run programs and media software programs, and manage/order inventory.

Kanab Elementary School -Special Ed ParaProfessional position available. Part time, up to 29.5 hours per week.

This position is responsible for the direct implementation of behavioral and instructional needs for students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The aide will be eligible for higher compensation following participation in additional support and behavior training which include the following:

• Provide instructional support for academic tasks assigned by general education teachers

• Provide assistance in curriculum modifications.    

• Use positive reinforcement for appropriate behavior  

• Model instructional and behavior management techniques     

• Implement assigned behavioral interventions and/or methodologies 

• Provide consequences and alternatives for problem behavior 

• Collect data in regard to behavior in order to make possible changes and revisions to the program. 

• Report changes in the student’s behavior to the Case Manager. 

• Complete Incident Reports when necessary 

• Other duties as assigned by the Special Education Teachers and/or Case Manager.
