Description |
|
|
The Head Football Coach is responsible for leading the school’s football program by planning, coordinating, and implementing all aspects of coaching and team development. This includes fostering a positive team culture, maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant athletic regulations and school policies. Develop and implement effective practice plans and game strategies. Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff. Promote the development of student-athletes academically, socially, and athletically. Ensure proper conditioning, safety, and injury prevention protocols. Manage team equipment, uniforms, and facilities. Collaborate with the athletic director and school administration. Promote team unity, discipline, and sportsmanship. Maintain communication with parents, athletes, media, and the community. Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and encourage academic success. Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the state athletic association. Previous coaching experience (head or assistant level preferred). Knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules. Ability to lead and motivate high school athletes. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (required or obtainable). Experience with film review platforms (e.g., Hudl), Experience organizing offseason strength and conditioning programs. Experience with booster clubs, fundraising, and community outreach. *Could potentially be attached to a teaching position if the person is qualified for an open teaching position at CHS* |
